About Us

NATOA started with my tamariki and the kind of future I want to create for them. As a māma of two, I wanted to build something of my own that felt meaningful, grounded, and connected to to ao Māori in a real way.

I create tamariki kākahu that reflect who we are and where we come from, with pieces designed to be worn in everyday life while still carrying meaning and intention behind them.

Everything at NATOA is done with care. I create custom measurements for my kākahu so each piece has its own look and feel, and I spend time choosing fabrics that are high quality, soft, and comfortable for tamariki to wear. I want every piece to not only look good, but feel good too.

I also care about involving my customers in the journey of the brand. Whether it’s colours, styles, pieces, or the small details, I want people to feel connected to what I create and have a say in the direction of the kākahu they’re buying for their tamariki.

This pakihi has been built from the ground up by me, learning as I go and putting everything I have into it. I’m always striving to grow, improve, and be the best Māori pakihi owner I can be while building something my tamariki can one day be proud of.

I am proudly Ngāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, and Waitaha, and whakapapa will always be at the heart of NATOA.
